I hesitate to tell about any parts since there was no interest in a freshly rebuilt 54 235 with the dual range Hydramatic for $450 with no takers but maybe just one more. We got in a 59 1/2T GMC called a "Fleet Truck". Weird truck with an expanded metal grill, only two head lights, and a Chevy dash and instrument cluster. What it does have is a good running 270 with new water pump, hoses, belts, starter, generator, plugs/wires/cap/rotor/points, and a rebuilt carb. Owner going to a V8, a/t, p/s, ifs, Explorer rear, etc. You will have to deal with the owner but I told him with all the new parts $600 seemed fair. One of the boys could do a video with sound to hear it run.

If I lived closer... (And had a concrete floor in my garage where I could have an engine hang out until later...) :/

Missed out again

I should watch closer. I never seem to be on top of the good deals. Wish I had heard about the 235.

Damn

i would have been interested in such an engine, since my 228 is leaking oil pretty
badly and is also smoking and burning oil quit a bit...

I check ebay pretty often, but most times, they only sell blocks or heads,
but complete engines seem to be rare?

Making Me Crazy(er)

I keep finding used engines for cheap or free but I had a yard full of them for decades and NO ONE even bought one .

They're out there but you have to BEAT THOSE BUSHES .
