My wife and I left the house at 6:15am to go cast our early votes. Wanted to fill the shop truck with cheaper city gas rather than at our one and only local Exxon so loaded up and off we went. Six miles down the road tire goes flat and being a shop truck naturally it had no spare, or jack, or jack handle, or lug wrentch. It was still dark but a fellow in a 1.5T Ford diesel stopped to see if he could help, a very young man in work clothes, four stair step kids and a mid 90's Chevy pickup needing much work stopped on his way to the school/nursory and again on the way back, a fellow in what looked to be welding garb and driving a Dakota with just enough cylinders firing to pull it's weight, and a school bus driver. As it got light the Lexus and Mercedes SUV drivers would glance and pretend they didn't see. SO MY CHOICE: someone that gets up early, puts on their work clothes, and drives an old truck---they really will help their fellow men instead of just mouthing the words.
