Well, YES!, and eventually a picture with a bunch of third-graders around it. Oh, wait a minute, they might touch it somewhere... never mind.
 
That's another reason why I painted it myself~ Touch it, lean on it, sneeze on it, and I just KNOW someone will door ding it. No big deal~ ;)

And then~

I also got the driver's side yellow stripe done and listened to a little pregame show while grilling some chicken to take to my mom and dad's to watch the game with them. What a game! And now the Colts are ahead of the Broncos? Could this day get any better?!?!? :D

Truck looks really good, Paul. Coincidently, as Your team did well today, Mine did not!! I still like your truck, though. :p
 
Wow Zig this is just great. Your truck will be running soon!!! and the cheifs are the only unbeaten team in football right?

Crazy last year I could get tickets to the game given to me. Now not so much...

Good thing though. Im so glad to see them doing so well

A lot of fans are like that~ Can't say I blame them when we were as pathetic as we were last year. :(

Thanks, Brian! I have the brake lines to run still, some wiring to hook back up, and then it's time to get that old 228 to come back to life! I'm thinking I start with a new gas tank!

True fans will be there and support no badly the team sux ~ The Brooklyn Dodgers didn't win in Brooklyn so why should I care if they win in Los Angeles ? .

Congrats to the Chiefs on their season thus far. And Nate... Go Cardinals!!! Hoping we can finish out the World Series with three straight wins in St. Louis.

Thank you! I love being able to sit in my truck and look back out over that hood and fender again. I've <never> looked out over anything as smooth as this rig has going. ;)

A new look~

My dad and mom are downsizing their living quarters and moving into an assisted living house. Someone cleans their house once a week and they get to eat lunch at the big house every day. The best thing is, their (brand new) home doesn't have one step! No more walking across ice or snow before I have a chance to go remove it.
Anyway, my dad had a bunch of car and airplane models that I just had to take off his hands. He had a model that I was always surprised he built, knowing his distaste for zoom-zoom.
It had some snazzy wheels on it that fit under the truck model perfectly. I'm now thinking it's a good look...
See why my build has taken so long? :rolleyes:

As my truck sits, my daughter grows...

By the time I have my truck rolling, my daughter will be ready to learn how to drive. Hmmmmm....... :D

1. Zig, the truck model is very cool. If we had video, I'm fairly certain we would be hearing motor noise and screeching tire sounds.
2. How cool is that... your daughter learning to drive your cool ol' truck. My son says by time my truck is drivable, I'll be so old, he will have to drive me around in it!
3. Time is FLYING past guys our age!
