I'm working on a 53 chevy truck bed i purchased a bed wood kit.I like to know if they start with the wide boards and go narrow.

"Ol' Chebby" did a build with step by step instructions and photos. It is now a 'sticky', (one of the 3 threads that are always at the top of the forum). It's 'How to assemble an AD". A lot of us go to this thread repeatedly to learn what to do, or see how something goes. Russ did a superb job with the instructions.

Nah ;

That'd be one more rule we don't need :D .

Besides , some folks like to do things the hard way .

One more time:
Measure between the holes on the rear bed crossmember, the one where the boards fit down onto a little shelf. This will give the board widths, positions, and number of boards needed even if a different year bed has been put on the truck.
