When putting a V8 with P/S in an AD many times it gets real crowded where the pump is near the frame rail and plumbing in hoses is a test. March and Billet Specialties get a bit over two grand for their set ups so we cleaned up the 86-93 chevy pickup factory serpentine unit for a customer on a budget. It has everything tucked in close which is good for an AD and the p/s pump is up a little which helped out in running hoses. We knocked off some of the casting knobbies on the brackets and chrome powder coated them as well as black coating on the pulleys. Here it's mounted on a nasty old junk engine but it turned out well for a total of about $160. The "belt" is a tow strap which shows up better for a pic.

Re:Serpentine

When going to a serpentine belt system, don't you have to go to a backward rotation water pump? Seems I remember this from the early days of experimentation.
