So my wife has started a new gig at the Franklin Miners Museum. (last week) Today is the museum's 100th birthday and they had a few things going on. Hope you like the pictures.

Oh~ and darn the luck if my wife didn't introduce me to a real nice guy that is working on putting a '49 GMC 1/2 ton back together! His shop is about 5 blocks from my house and he'd like some advice. Another GMC... You know I'm smiling from ear to ear, right?

And those kids were all around 6 foot tall and had facial hair.

I couldn't imagine how long it took to build that. It even had an electric motor that could work all the various parts.

Very nice indeed ! .

The kids looked to be having fun .

We had a '35 & '37 Johnny-Poppers on the farm when I was a kid , a 'A' and 'B' Models , good reliable tractors .

Set on an old Poppin John for many an hour. The crows loved me as I would fall asleep and plow up some new corn with the seeds still on the roots. No electric starter convernions for my dad, you yanked the flywheel to fire it off. Is that a blue suburban behind the two cute girls?

Evan, your story is funny and scary at the same time, many a old time farmer fell asleep and fell under a disc and got run over. Now they fall asleep and wake up when they hit the side of the air-conditioned cab.

Yes indeed on the suburban. It is at every show, but the red GMC is a newcomer.

I'm not sure how it kept getting in my way...

A legand this Masey Ferguson. Most framers whom could aford it had a tractor like this after the second world war.
