Fittments

This is one reason why it's a good plan to pay the extra $ for the " GM Heritage " branded parts . they're not as close as the originals but they're way better than everything else .

Me , I have old rusty bumpers re chromed AFTER I've test fitted them to the vehicle .

Remember to mask off and spray paint the inside of all bumpers before installing so they don't rust .
 
Finally got the front bumper gap fixed. The bolts had a large washer on the back which wouldn't let it move sideways, took it off.

I forgot to mention, there are no spacers. It bolts directly to the frame rails, but the holes are elongated. :)
 
It isn't a surprise if the re-pops don't fit right. Many people will tell you not to buy a re-pop bumper, fender, grill ect....I know a guy who bought a re-pop grill for his 66 and none of the holes lined up. That's repop for ya...but like said..many a time the bumper brackets can be bent or a tad outta place. :D
