Went to the Custer Little Big Horn battle site and then in the NE gate and out of the S gate of Yellowstone. That runs one diagonally across the Rockies and Tetons and is quite a trip. The last time I was in the mountains the car had a carburetor vs the injection of a modern one and the difference is huge. That smart ass computer made the engine run just as good as at sea level. The wind sweeps the tops of the mountains clean so we had to come back DOWN a bit to get to the snow. Note my wife's hair blowing and she said the first picture had better come out cause she wasn't sticking around for a second one. From long pants and jackets on Tuesday to 107*-108* (41.6-42.2 C) Sunday. I love Texas.

Re:

This is exactly the way I like to see snow, in pictures. Hope you took the missus to a nice dinner after she did this for you.

So was that up on Bear Tooth pass (between Red Lodge and Cooke City)? Here's a picture I took a little over a month ago up in the Wind River Range, the next one east of the Tetons.

See that is a great way to visit snow as it sets way way off in the distance needing a Zoooom len.

BTW, really a great shot screen saver, a canvas, wall paper quality, or for photo, thanks.

Road Trip

Thanx for the feedback Evan .

I love that National Park , it's cold up there year 'round tho' . I about froze my tukis off in my tent the last time I camped there .

Both of those photos are great .

Diddo for me...I'm only 2-3 hours from where you were. If you do it again, be sure to let me know and plan an extra day here in Central Montana!!!

There is still snow on the Tetons, I don't ever remember a year when there was still snow up there in August. I can see them from my town.
