rebuilding original turn signal hub for a 55 1st. cannot figure how flat metal piece fits - 1/2" wide and about 2"wide. anybody help?. Bud

Howie I have complete v-6 motor,has no compression,air cleaner to bell housing,thanks greg
61 GMC K1000. No power steering, no power brakes, no air conditioner. It doesn't get much simpler than that!

Planning to plasti-dip it matte black with gloss black trim or gunmetal with brushed stainless / silver trim. Safety and reliability are key- good brakes and decent handling and I'd like to be able to cruise 65 at a comfortable rpm.
