Older Model Fulton Visor for 1954 3100

20201208_085630[1149] (2).jpg
Like to thank everyone
for their posts and input. And for making me go and
try to find ? some sort of picture that I may have had ?
of my old 53 Chevy 3100 5 Window Classic..one of two
of the same that I loved. This picture was taken over 45 years
ago with a little "instamatic" 110 camera.
The Sun Visor was said to have been
taken off a 1953 GMC 3/4 Ton Pickup ?
I remember removing the radio and
taking the "tubes" to a little hardware store and -
- getting the radio working again....
Almost was like the Twilight Zone
as the radio seemed to like ? picking up
some of the old time tunes <<< ? Hahaha........
Hope to run into Joe -before it's my time to go....

Barely can make out the two little girls in the foreground..
--- two of our three daughters-- that today have given us
9 grand children to share. Talk about time flying`` (smile)
Stay Safe- Stay Well ---Tell someone you love..
" Love You ! "....with all your heart and soul....
The Best.

Thanks everyone for allowing me to
hijack this old thread and showing me patience and
trying to help me out in finding Joe. Thanks Nate for telling me
to keep checking in here on the forum and to CK for reaching out to Dead Zone too.
They say ? You only get what you pay for ..and I'm sure many with
Old Trucks and Burbs know things are not like they use to be - (OMG Time Time +Age )

Wanted to add a big Thank You to Dead Zone (Joe ) for
walking me through the payment method and the thoughtful
packing job on the visor. "Obvious Extra- Steps " made in
making sure the visor was stable and protected inside the carton.
~~ Great Job Joe on the Beautiful Visor ! ~~~~~~~`

We have had some pretty rough shipping handlers
that we saw throwing boxes over our short fence.
Nearly 2 years later ? after finding an ad with the seller
being MT-AZ ? it took some kind understanding people like Nate
and others to help me finally find Dead Zone ! (Joe)

Hope to be back next year ! LOL
looking for more stuff and help...
All that to try and convey my deepest Thanks -
-- Wishing All a Safe and Well 2021 ---
Thanks! again...
Ernie.....

Selling my Fulton DeLuxe 1000 Series,NOS visor, professionally painted in Sea Crest Green, bottom in same color with a matte laquer.
Complete down to the last screw.Instruction sheet for GM cars included, but fit other models too.It won't fit 1946-48 Chrysler New Yorker
Club Coupe. My cost to date is $1650.00.That should give you an idea.

Sometimes it takes a while to find the obscure parts you need to move forward .

After a lengthy search I recently found a long obsolete Motocycle part in Jolley Olde Englande and bought it, it came quickly and i installed it and boyoboy ! the bike runs better now than it ever has, I'm stoked and off looking for more obscure and N.L.A. Moto parts.... #tongue# .

If I could find a pair of "M2" brackets I won't sell it.The "M1"s don't fit my car,but many others.
Can't find a pair of M1's so I'm selling my visor with the M2 brackets.
Sounds a little mixed up ? Has Dead Zone made any further replies to you
via private conversation messages ? Maybe someone else here can help hook
you up with the correct brackets. You have a beautiful visor there. Some like them
some don't - I always felt like they looked like a nice hat - LOL....

Not heard anymore from Dead Zone,or anyone else.I hate to sell it but if I can't use.............

I had a heck of time--
for a long long long time..... finding
Dead Zone aka Mother Trucker --" Joe" .
Took longer than I ever imagined and on
finding this site -- finally hooked up with Joe.
If anyone knows Visors - Joe would be the one
who knows his stuff and could ? hook you up with the correct
brackets. Be a shame letting the brackets
hold you back from using that beautiful one you have now !.
Maybe someone here has other connections with places like
a site named " Roadkill " ? or..... other sites ?
Darn wish I could help you out !

RE : visor brackets .

Maybe 'The Filling Station" "Chevs of the 40's" .......
Before coming here and before finding out who Dead Zone was
I shared with another site an advertisement I stumbled upon googling...
It was 2040 Parts . And the visor I wanted had " MT " in AZ.?
I searched this site :
Original Exterior Sun Visors For Sale ~ Chevy, Ford, Mercury, Mopar, More
Karen Barr from Roadkill .com sent me
information on the different type of visors
and shared that Mother Trucker aka Dead Zone-Joe---
could be found on the " Stove Bolt Forums"
On that site I think you have to post -5 or more replies etc ..
to send private messages etc..so I never did make contact
with Dead Zone --- ` Mother Trucker``--Joe

But a Simple Twist of Fate ?
and with a LITTLE HELP -!:D!
I finally was able to hook up with--Dead Zone -- Joe here---
Sure beholding for the help and patience shown me...

Joe's an old fart like me .

He has his ways and you have to accept them or he won't sell to you .

I got some really good N.O.S. parts from him long ago .
