On the 37 roll back hauler we had to widen the fenders a total of 10" (five each side) to cover the tires. The head lights are mounted to the nose piece so I extended the stanchion on the passenger side to move the light out and have it closer to the same position in relation to the top of the fender. The driver side is still in the factory position. Which looks best? The shot from the rear shows the light from that perspective and the running board modification to bolt back up to the fender bottom. Last picture has me worried, I told my wife if she spends much time there she will absorb more computer smarts through her butt than I ever have through my head.

I like the left one. The closer one.

    Driver's side~

So Evan, if the cat's eyes are glowing, does that mean the computer is on?:D

I like the driver's side, closer to the grille. It just looks more at home and not like it is craning it's neck as much. With it tucked in close, that will allow you to put some wild ass paint on the fender for all to view, and without the light getting in the way.
You didn't post a driver's side (rear) photo, but I'd be willing to bet that PHat ass fender looks tits stuck out there like it is.
One thing for sure... with or without our input, you'll crank out yet another killer!

Look forward to what happens to it. Your cat will grow a tumor in it's butt if you let it set there to long.

Drivers side looks better to me also,
Easier to get a replacement if something happens to one of the light housings. The fender extensions looks good.

The short factory stanchion it is; how can one argue with a 5-0 vote.

Neil, your mind works in strange ways; I like it. It's now for sure going with the factory head light stands after a friend that is very good in design took one look at the extended stand and asked me when I started working on Plymouth Prowlers.
