    Sounds like the condenser is on its way out if you are still using the points ignition......I had a similar problem and thats what it turned out to be......Once the heat got into the condenser it shorted out or something

    The stud you are looking at is for linkage pivot for a column shift transmission .......It just transfers motion from the column to one of the shift levers on the trans.....I just went thru this ordeal trying to figure where it connected......but I replaced the 3 speed for a four speed floor...

    I assume the previous owner or mechanic ran a 3/16 line from the T where the oil pressure gage connects and around the back of the block and to the 1/8 npt threaded hole on my 235 engine because there was a issue with topside lubrication ??     By-pass oil filter question

    I was thinking about the bypass oil filter and wondering if the oil drains back into the crankcase to the oil pan after its been filtered ?? if thats the case wouldnt it lower the oil pressure of the oiling system as a leak would ?? hopefully someone can clear this up for me...... thanks Leon

    Teflon thread sealant and Happy Easter Those holes are drilled righ thru the head into the pushrod area...... Whatever you do dont use silicone..... Pick up a bottle of Permatex teflon thread sealant.....white bottle with blue writing....I use this stuff on the head bold threads on the SBC...
