Here's our new '54 that my dad and I are working on. There's a couple of cancer spots (cab corners, rear half of running boards), but for the most part, it's solid. The previous owner did the entire brake system, wheel bearings, new gas tank, new radiator. Has a '55 235 in it. Can't wait to put everything back to stock. The best part is that Classic Parts' home office is 5 minutes from work :)

    Love the paint

Please don't re-paint it!!! Clear coat it and let the trailer queen guys sweat when the kids come near their rides at the shows:D.

Glad to hear there are some other 3600's out there. Although, it seems to me that 3/4 ton didn't mean quite the same thing 50 years ago as it does now. Maybe the springs are just worn out, but it doesn't feel very "heavy duty" to me. Awesome truck, though.

I got the shop and assembly manuals and having done some reading, I am now understanding that I LUCKED OUT!!! I like that it's unique, but not obscure. I've had a few military vehicles in the past and you wanna talk about obscure. I am amazed at the plethora and inexpensiveness of parts for these things.

You know, I just got it running well today and I was thinking the same thing. Fix the stuff that's broken and just drive it. Unfortunately, there is some rot and the bed floor is completely eaten away.

That being said, I drove it around the cul-de-sac today, and I felt like Mario Andretti.
