It meant putting off working on my truck, but now I have a home for AD.
This is what happens when a wood butcher marries an architect. I end up building all kinds of weird stuff! This was fun, however! I made the siding out of 1/4" water resistant wood panels. I still have a window to trim and a wavy piece to make and install, glass to put in and vents to make, wire to run and plumbing to install, shelves to build and a floor and driveway to pour, but other than that, I'M DONE!!!!
The floor will be even with the bottom of the door. The door turned out every bit as good as I imagined. ~smooth~ I used sash weights (30 pounds each side) to counterbalance the door. No, it's not an auto open. It's a throwback to the good old days (like our trucks) where you had to get out to open and close the garage door. When I have more "think" time, I may see how I could create an opener, but in the mean time, I'm happy!
My back's better, it's a three day weekend, YEEEHAAA!
I just had to share with y'all. Have a great Labor Day weekend!

P.S. Brian, guess you'll just have to help me eat some grilled food and BS about trucks!
