Also I can use one of the bed sills to hold the tank down and it fits snug right on top of the tank when it's bolted down

A friend of mine said the same thing. I wonder how expensive and how heavy that would be, and how durable? I still want to be able to carry stuff in the bed when need be
I used pressure treated plywood for the floor in my bed. I had thought about hinging the wood at the bed sides so you could swing the boards up. That would be great for maintenance and great for showing off your handy work. I tend to over analyze stuff....
I want to make a tilt bed similar to Franks truck (that white truck in Italy I think that's where he's from) but go a little farther and add doors. One over the tank and 2 up front with a tool box on one side and maybe something else on the other. Perhaps if I bag it all the stuff can go in that one.

Almost looks like you could put the filler through the rear sill? Does the tank have a vent line? If not the rear sill fill won't work without puking gas back at ya. What are you using to bend tubing? John
No problem John, How's it look from the back, The tank is about 3-4" above the pumpkin Since I'm raising the bed I'm thinking about fabricating a mount right about the rear sill. Of course I'll have to open the tailgate to pump gas but at least it will be hidden. I thought the same thing about venting, but according to the company I bought the tank from that year of tank does not net a vent. The company I bought the C notch from has the bender. So I buy the tubing make all the measurements and take it to them and tell them where to bend it and how much to bend it.
Hi Zig, well I couldn't find a way to be happy plugging up the side vent to stop cold/hot air coming into the cab so since I wasn't going to use because I'm going to put Vintage Air inside. This weekend I cut the vent out and welded in a patch panel and covered up with filler. After this I just ordered my black tailgate and my roll pan, should be here Thursday. Then I will start building the bed box which will consist of raising the bed floor and fabing the door to lift above it like a hood and also I will weld a tow hitch behind the roll pan license plate to hide the hitch. Should keep me busy for at least a week.
I called Vintage Air and they said there unit recirculates it's own air and did not need to draw from the outside.
Sleep, what's that? Lol no I spend all of my time on my truck instead of watching tv or going out on weekends. I figure the more time I spend on my truck the sooner I can drive it. Working on my door today, getting her lined up.
