Seems like that would mean the defrost would need to run alot to keep the windshield clear? I'm a fresh air guy, you still got wind wings on your doors?
For now, although I'm going to look at some doors that don't have the wings windows this weekend. I did keep the cowling vent on top in front of the windshield.
HVAC Basics No fresh air , I see...... This is why older vehicles defrost and vent really well but newer ones , the cheaper ones anyway , don't defrost for spit ~ all closed up with people breathing moist air plus wet clothes etc. , that simply ain't going to work out well . At the very least , make sure the evaporator's drain tray is properly tilted to drain and has a drain tube leading outside .
So no one uses windows anymore? Plus like I was talking about the front cowl vent still opens, and will definitely have a drain going across to the side of the firewall to the cowl panel down and out the hole in the bottom. Vintage Air has a drain and I left a hole in the firewall for that purpose
Cowl Vent Just cut up a bit of scrap sheet metal in the shape of eggs then paint white and draw in pupils..... It's easier than you might imagine .
Yellow flag on the field... For missing peek-tures of gas-cap weld up. Looks good finished. MIG-weld, TIG weld, or old-time gas weld? Doors look to be just right.

Too many pics? not possible. Damon is right, you can't overdose us. Hobart 120= Millers little brother. I bought a Hobart 140 just for lite welding and I'm real satisfied. Still use my big Miller for heavy stuff. Rico, your project is really smokin' along. You'll be at Goodguys this summer!
Thanks Sinclair and chevy 53, you ask for it you'll get it. For now on anything I do you will know about it: First I went and bought some doors from a 1950 because I used to have a 49 and loved the solid window. My wife says the solid window looks more modern.. It actually fits better than the 54 door did Also my tailgate showed up from classic parts. Now I can start raising the bed floor and building my gas out let right behind the tailgate inbetween the raised floor and the rear cross sill.
Today I bought some seats for my truck. They're out of a 2008 Lexus IS250 in black leather, electric, heat/cool. Looked at several and I just love these. Don't worry I'm working on getting a wiring diagram so I can make everything work except the air bags. Lol later I'll get seat belts for them. Rico, You had a chance to install the steering wheel and see how well you fit in the truck with the new seats? The backs look pretty thick... and driver space in the cab of these trucks is a precious commodity. I don't know if drivers have gotten bigger, or if truckerss were just skinny back in the day. John
Thanks Zig, I want my truck to be different from everyone else's. Plan on keeping this one. When it comes to fitting in my truck, as far as I know pear shape is not in. Lol I'm 5'9" 175 so I fit in the cab just fine. I wanted electric so I can make sure the seat is comfortable as possible. Once it's set then it will never be used again. Unless I'm getting in the back, of course these seats also have memory. I haven't bought my steering column yet, but have sat in someone else's truck and know basically where I want it. Also I will be able to move the seat up or down for any adjustment, but will be getting my steering column very soon. My seats are a little thick at the top, but they taper in the back and also they are leaned back in that picture which I like sitting more up wright. This truck will be an extention of who I am
Put the driver side door on today. Still needs some tweaking, but much better since I change the hinges. My other hinges where wore out so the door did not fit right. These hinges that came with the 1950 door where tight and not worn out. So it allowed the door to stay in line better, still need to work the door some, but it looks good. Next I'll need to sand blast the doors.
