My daughter's tribe and I drive through Dumas at about 6AM on the way to Colorado to ski each March. I tried to sing this song one time on the way through and was hit with a shower of physical trash and verbal abuse from all the other occupants of the van. Don't know if it was the song lyrics, my singing or both that they didn't like.

I can't sing for spit neither but that doesn't stop me from torturing the others in the truck on long drives .

Sort of what I was doing, except I was also trying to stay awake. We leave Houston around 7PM and by the time we get to Dumas it is 5-6 AM and I've been awake for almost 24 hours and driving for an hour or two. Don't stop for more than just gas until Raton NM.

This is one of the best threads ever posted on the internet! If you only get one "pearl of wisdom" from it, it's one more than you'll get from most!

I would ask that this thread be a sticky like Old Navy Trucks and Kelle's 54 Chevy. I don't know the criteria or the process but I believe this thread is worth it.

I'm really happy this thread got a 'Sticky'. I plan to use it often, as I have already. Thanks to Ol Chebby for all the work to make it so user friendly. If you'd get it printed into a book, I'd surely buy a copy.:D
