I do remember a time when I could find the Chevy version at places like WalMart. (?) You know~ the plastic put together kind by Revell. (sp?) That's the kind I'd really like, but a pre assembled one would work too.

That's cool ! . I once had a 'photo of Nash's being shipped on end just like that but in regular box cars so they were schlepped in using a forklift....

BTW ; I may be the only one you'll ever meet who likes Vegas.... the early ones anyways , they looked just like shrunken Camaros .

I was just thinking that they should have taken those Vegas directly from the factory to the scrap yard on those rail cars. Would have saved many thousands of people the heartache of having the engine in their "new" car give out before the new car smell even faded.

I know all about the terrible rust problems and the wierd engine design that caused them to begin smoking in 40,00 miles but , did you know (or remember) that the U.S.P.S. bought thousands of the Sedan Delivery Vegas , overloaded them and ran them for well over 150,00 miles and never had _any_ engine failures ? .

Know why ? because they never wnet on the freeway , the engines only operated at low RPM's...

Wierd I know .

If not for the penny pinchers @ GM , the Vega could have been the right car at the right time .

I could only imagine how friggin cool that would be to be the driver of that truck, that day, that moment. Thanks, Ken!
