I see that you have the most important tool (BFH) ready to adjust the front clip.HAHA Russ, we're staying at the Breakers-Sailfish 2500 block of Ocean Blvd. If I don't see you at the cruise Thur. I'll find you Fri. Gentle with the BFH.
 
Remember....If you can't fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem.


The car previously hit a stationary, round object, then sat, apparently with the hood up and air cleaner off. The block (327, numbers matching....alledgedly) was full of water. He bought the 4 door just for the clip....not much else was of use. I grabbed the steering column for my self before scrapping it. He thought he was going to do a little work and flip it, but got in Way over his head. We are getting it driveable so he can sell it, plus I'm cleaning up the neighborhood. The Ford came from a neighbor 2 houses down.
 
She's nearly done! Been a beeotch lately, lots of things fighting us lately.....thats hot rodding!

Got the exhaust done today and she moved under her own power.

I forgot about this picture. Sadly, Cricket had to be put down this summer. She stopped eating and seemed to have jaw pain. Vet couldn't figure it out, she lost 25 lbs. She was almost 13, old for a Dalmatian.

Miss my shop dog.

Danged if they don't come in pairs .

That Unibody looks TERRIFIC ! I've always loved them since they were new , never could quite buy one .

I have my shop dogs in pairs , they're truly man's best friend .

Plus they feel so ' right ' curled up on my lap in the recliner when I'm beat or it's too hot to work .
 
Russ, sorry to hear about Cricket! A beautiful dog and a faithful companion, no doubt!

The Ferd looks awesome, but then again, you knew that!:D

The Ferd went home this morning! It would have gone yesterday, but when he went to test drive it it died leaving the parking lot. We had a bad battery, then finally discovered that the coil was blazing hot. We swaped it out and got great spark from a Flamethrower, tuned it and tweaked it, couldn't get it to do it again. We finally did a search and realized that the Accel coil needs the resistor block, but there is NO mention of this in the box or on the website. We found this through forums where others had this problem. I installed one this morning and all was well.

We will have her back next week for headliner, bedliner and more shaking down and stomping bugs.

When it comes back, you will add the yellow between the red and white as well? :p

Accel Coils

They're great but I was told to *not* use a dropping resistor on the 12 volt , 1.5 Ohm primary resistance one I put on a Motocycle ~ I was certain it'd burn up the power wire or fry the points but years later it's still working fine , HUGE zappy sparks and the same set of breaker points...

I close my eyes and imagine this rig but nearly stock , it makes me shiver to consider it..... painted sheet metal under the hood with a Y block and correct air cleaner decals etcetera....

You Sir , are a Craftsman .

Sorry for the Ford on the Chevy page........at least it is an old Ford. Glad to be done with it, hate to see it go.

We have a 67 Chevelle in the shop getting a BB rebuild and some sheetmetal work, 49 Ford getting final assembly, 69 Charger getting full Willwood treatment, and a 53 GMC getting running and driving safely.

My second new car purchase, for my growing family, was a 4-door '67 Chevelle. Best I remember it set me back $2700. It was a good car.

That sure turned out nice! You all pay attention to detail.

Glad to see the 53 GMC is on the radar! You know we will look forward to pictures of that getting taken care of! :cool:
