    Insparation !

It is obvious you're a Professional and your sharing of the build helps others keep going , thank you for this .

Me , I'da not done this sort of build but then , I'm not footing the bill so who cares what I think , you're building a nice rig that'll draw crowds when it's done .

Thank you so much Vwnate, I really appreciate what you think of me :).

I'm doing this restoration with such passion and some help from you, so the end result will be also your merit.

    Thanks

I hate to keep beating this drum but : this old truck build is NOT IN ANY WAY , being restored .

You're building a very nice truck but 'restored' , in any language , means " AS-NEW " and clearly , you're not making it anything like it was when new .

O.K. ? this is not bad or good , it's just what it is .

    Hi Vwnate,

I'm not sure what you mean, maybe I was wrong to call this work "restoration"?

We define this as a good mild custom? Or what?

    Thanks for your time :)

Frank, Not to worry! There are purists in this world, I'm one of them, who believe in the strictest of terms in the auto business. The definition of the word "restoration" means that an item is brought back to its original state, 100% original. I'd love to tell people that my truck has been restored, but alas, it has been rebuilt as close to original as possible. Mine has an upgraded engine, 12 volt conversion, radial tires, and a few modern Chinese repop parts. That makes it a rebuild in my book!

Your truck is definitely a work of art and mechanically sound! In my mind, you've got a very excellent resto-mod! Restoration, no, awesome truck, yes!

I think I can speak for Nate and myself in saying that we look forward to each of your posts and hope you have many hours of pleasure with your truck!

I agree Frank, too many people use the term restoration when they are actually doing a resto-mod. Your truck is very beautiful and looks to be very mechanically sound. Keep up the good work.

Ah, ok, ok, I understand now, thanks for the explanation :).

It was not possible to do a "restoration 100% original" on my truck when I bought (from California) it because it was already pretty messed up, we say "pasticciato" and so I chose this path.

I must also admit that making a true restoration, we also need a good education, which unfortunately I did not.

    Thanks to all

    Looking Good!

Frank, I'm really liking the steering wheel! Looks awesome! Is that, by any chance, a '54 Chevy Belair steering wheel?

Either your wheels are turned, or the steering wheel is 180 degrees off...
