That's looking terrific, Jesse! We just assembled my box a week or two ago, and found one thing I wasn't real crazy about. The nice pre-punched stainless dividing strips worked great, but the polished stainless angles that fit in the corners of the floor-to-sides were punched to stop about 3/4" short of the front, right at the rear of the sheet metal flange, and lap over the back member that same 3/4" or so. Can't really change where it fits, 'cause the punched holes have to line up with the ones on the box frame. The angles should have really had a relief removed from the vertical leg to clear the extra thickness of sheet metal at the front, and punched to line up with the center pieces. Maybe the brand you have will be like that, but if not, you might consider at least trimming the rear end off the angles before you install them...

ccharr, the wallis has pretty much been put on the back burner for now.. I really just want to get my truck done first.lol All im really missing now is one sleeve, the rest of the engine is pretty much done. The head has been rebuilt it has all new bearings and n.o.s timing gears. I just have a little more work to do on the governer. I also have all new sheet metal for it (fenders, hood, grill, gas tank) If anyone knows where I can find a sleeve let me know I'v been looking for like 2 years now... Im starting to think I might have to make one.. ccharr it will probably be for sale some day after I get it done!
thanks Jesse
As odd as it seems, that is the correct placement of the angle pieces. I was able to use the original pieces on mine which are spot welded to the bed sides. They are short in the front and overlap the rear sill just as you describe. Mine are painted the same color as the bed side and rear sill, so it really just blends in.
Guys, is it possible to switch the strips to the opposite bed sides and get a little better fit? Can't really tell from the pictures --
