Just found another site w/bed roll lights

I was watching "Trucks!" yesterday and they were rodding a '53 F**d pu and were going to put in bed roll "LED" lights from pros-pick. www.pros-pick.com Another "wish book" to drool over.

    Brit,
On this thread we have actually gone into de tail, de nose, de ears, you name it. We get off on a side subject and just keep going. I've enjoyed the info though. Are you sure you don't have a sub thread to add?

ok my 3 cents, if you use led lights as flashers you cant use the original flasher can (relay in english) not enough resistance in the lights to make the can work, you need a specific led can (relay) thats a electronically timed one not resistance type

I have a site address specifically for led tail/flasher lights and cans etc, can find it if you really want it.

If they work anything like the LED lights that I put on my motorcycle for turn signals then you can just put an inline resistor in it and it will slow it down. If you don't use a resistor in line then it will just blink fast as if a newer cars turn signal bulb is out.

    Hey Gater!

After 67 posts, did you get your questions answered? If not, here's my plan for turn signals on mine. Roll down driver's side window. Stick arm out straight and parallel to the ground to signal a left turn. Stick arm out bent at 90 degree upward at the elbow to signal a right turn. Stick arm out straight angled 45 degrees downward to signal slow down or stop. Call me crazy, but it worked for about 50 years!;)

    Or Just :

Get a standard trnasistorized flasher , available cheaply at any FLAPS or dealer....

The LED specific parts guys will bend you over sharp for this Std. part .

Ken , you crack me up :p

    Answer

    Ken,

Yeah. I have purchased a good turn signal switch with enough wires to do the trick. I bought the new tail light housings from CP at about $25.00 each. They came with 6 volt bulbs and when I tried to put in the 1141 and 67 bulbs I found that the lense would not fit over the bigger 1141 bulb. CP has a replacement bracket for inside the housing that is about $8.00 a piece, I hate paying $16 for two small stips of metal but they will make everything work the way it should.

As far as the arm signals, my neighbor saw me turning in front of his house back in October and had to laugh. He said it had been years since he had seen the hand signals that I had used and that he doubted there was anyone under 50 years old that knew what the heck they meant.

This has been a good thread.
    Thanks,
    TG

    We are nearing the end...

I think we found the end of the internet. It says "last page".
I knew it couldn't last forever but it's been a good ride.
