Damn Frank, that is sexy. Aren't you in Rome? WHat do they think about restos over there? Is the DMV hard to deal with?
Ol' Chebby, forgive me but ..... What is the DMV ? Here the people who see my truck gasps and the face they do is almost like this These machines are quite rare here. Yes, I live in Rome. Thanks
Thanks for the pictures and update!!! WOW about says it best! (Is that Nate's old truck?) I love the matching Harley~ Looks like someone has claimed it already, however...
Over here it is the Department of Motor Vehicles. They issue titles and license plates, vehicle inspections, etc. Here it varies state by state, some are easy to deal with, then there are states like California who are a pain in the posterior regions.
Thank you FRANK THANKS FOR THE UPDATES ON YOU TRUCK I JUST HAVE NOT SEEN YOU ONLINE AND YOU TRUCK IS AWESOME.AND WE ALL HAVE THE SAME LOOK ON OUR FACES HERE IN THE U.S TOO. ROBERT
Wheels Frank - where did you get those center caps for your smoothies? I bought some smoothies and the cap is not deep enough for my front wheels.
Rear end and driveshaft Frank its nice to see your still in buisness working on this beautifull truck of yourse Is the white color inspired by the white Italian marmo (marble) It is so delicate and pure. Frank what year and model/ratio rearend axle did you used and what about the drive shaft in aluminum , is that a standard one you bought ? By the way how did the front window molding rubber came out from Steel , did you had the same problem with that as the chinese one ? Its good to see your mc intrested aswell that is a beauty , i remember the old models Moto Guizzi very well as-spesially the classic Falcone with its big turning wheel on the outside of the engine! Is Moto Guizzi still in production ? Martinius/Norway.
Hi 58, I bought them here, but watch that can be adapted to your wheel rims http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wvi-5029-1 If you need further information please do not hesitate to contact me Frank
Hi BlueFlame, I used a '76 Camaro rear-end 8.5 10 Bolt, stock ratio 2.73..... I hope this ratio goes well . The driveshaft I have built custom here through Summitracing: http://www.iedls.com/ The rubber of the windshield I used the Made in Taiwan that fits much better than the rubber-known and most expensive . Was sufficient to immerse the rubber in boiling water for 15 minutes and then I installed with vaseline oil and it went immediately in its place perfectly .... and finally . Yes, the Guzzi is still in production but the name of the new model, the manufacturer has inspired the U.S., it is called California ..... but.... I prefer the legendary Harley Davidson Thank you so much Frank
Information. Thanks fore all your information Frank. Yes the rearend you have is perfect for your aplication together with the V8 engine and the gears. This is a good swap. I am still having the 235 engine with Saginaw 4 speed wide gear , the 3.55:1 in rear and will buy the Gear Vendors torque tube overdrive wich gives a drop from 3.55 to 2.76 on the highway. I still have to update the brakes because of higher speed. Where did you ordered the front window rubber if i may ask ? By the way i remember Moto Guzzi did used the name California allready on a early seventees bike with US style look in competition with Harley Davidsen. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Moto_guzzi_california_II.jpg The new style California is really "Bad as" with its performance. https://www.google.com/search?hl=no&site=&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1245&bih=591&q=moto+guzzi+california+1400&oq=moto+Guzzi+california&gs_l=img.1.0.0j0i24l9.1954.10266.0.20288.21.11.0.10.10.0.130.1220.1j10.11.0...0.0...1ac.1.3.img.RNioX63jbM0 Martinius/Norway
Thanks, Frank! Classic it is. (I didn't have any complaints with the back or new view window rubber through them.) Love the idea about boiling water! More pliable.
Franks white truck I Wonder how Frank is doing , the italian guy from Roma With his beautifull white truck ? Martinius.
