It's not terribly difficult to change , you just need to apply your self .
The '50 Chevy 3100 in my local P-A-P has an open rear end and so far , NO ONE has taken it ~ a true , completed BOLT IN open drive line but no one even glances at it .
Me , it'd be the very first thing I'd want , if I still had a Torque Tube vehicle as it gives you endless tranny choices as well as better (Bendix) brakes and they sell it for $200 drum to drum .
As this rig had the Muncie SM420 , I'd bought at least the back cover & yoke off that too .
Who knows what you'll find on that old GMC ? maybe the original jack and toolkit under the seat ? .
