Man Franklin is not that far at all. Now you have no excuse to go to the good guys show. Maybe we could meet up there if you wanted to. I know that Jeff is going.
 
I will probably be working on the truck instead of going to the show. I'm trying to have it running/driving in time for the Street Rod Nationals (beginning of August).

.......I have a long way to go.
 
I ran brake lines this weekend.

That sucked on a mostly assembled truck.

Lines go back to the firewall and then down.

The proportioning valve is tucked under the drivers side fenderwell.

Man, I got dizzy looking at those headers!

Those are going to be some tired exhaust fumes by the time they get done going through that roller coaster!:D Just joking! Looking good, Flipper!:cool:

They were my first attempt at headers. It was a WHOLE LOT more involved than what I had guessed.

I did the passemger side first...and then had a duck when it came time to do the driver side......steering and brake booster really made things difficult. No tellin' how many times they wemt on and off during the build process.

Block headers may not look "cool", but they look better to me than they used to. :)
 
I don't know~ I'm glad you did that. For someone who swore off of them, I'm (happy?) to say .... I need a smoke!

Holy COW, those are some curves!!!!!

I left work and went to Goodguys Nashville show anyways. I was only there for a couple of hours, but got to see some nice stuff. ....but didn't take a camera with me, so no pictures.

If you go, look for a black 52 chevy truck with a tri-power 455 pontiac in it. It has quite a few intersting details. I spent probably 15 minutes just looking at that one truck.

I beat my dash into submission. Glovebox is gone and I fabbed a gauge panel.

Hey flipper I think they look good in there. Who cares if they aren't traditional. That's what makes your truck yours. I really like the dash work you did. It will look really nice cleaned up.

I actually wanted to put to put some "nice" gauges in it like something from classic, but couldn't justify paying $500-600 for gauges for a $450 truck :)
